  1.  NEW BUSINESS

  1.  Permits for Street Excavation - 4th St. between Walnut & Chapel St.

Better part of a month, street closures and parking restrictions sporadically

occurring during weekdays.  It’s been over a month and people are complaining

because of the parking restrictions. They are ignoring the restrictions due to the limited activity (one whole week without progress) on street. Pete states he hates for policies to be put in place for issues that probably occur few and far between, but if continues for a long duration we may need to evaluate the need to limit the duration of these excavation permits in order to balance the needs of the utilities with the needs of citizens for access to their homes.

  1.  Police Contract – Police are ready to begin contract negotiation.  Have to decide on who will take part in the negotiation and setting meeting dates.

  1.  Garbage Contract – The contract expires this year and should begin process of going

out for bid.

  1.  Roof – Grant received for replacing the roof, should begin process of putting this out for bid.
